Will Ospreay comments on his social anxiety and how he enjoys avoiding conversations with people, including delivery drivers.

Ospreay has always been open about the mental issues that he suffers from, whether that be ADHD or autism, or his anxiety issues, he has always let fans in on the personal issues that he deals with outside the ring.

While speaking during the first episode of a new series on AEW’s YouTube channel titled Rebuild & Destroy, Will Ospreay spoke about his upcoming neck surgery and the level of anxiety he was dealing with before the bout.

“I have three herniated discs in my C5, C6, and C7 that are pushing against my spinal cord, causing stenosis, I think it’s called, and I need to have a fusion, which is kind of crazy because, I mean, years ago, I think even like 10 years ago, people would get a neck fusion and their career would kind of be done. I’m completely terrified that I’m facing something that is going to alter and change my life forever. I don’t like talking to the delivery driver. I get, like, social anxiety. I like him when he, like, drops it off at the door, and then as he’s leaving, I go, ‘thank you very much, mate.'”

Elsewhere in the same video, Ospreay spoke about Tony Khan paying for his surgery and the loyalty that inspires in him. You can read more about that here.
