Will Ospreay reflects on kicking out of Kenny Omega’s One Winged Angel at AEW All In 2026 back in August.

At AEW’s biggest pay-per-view of the year this past August, Will would challenge for the AEW World Championship against Kenny Omega in his home country of England. During the bout, Ospreay would emphatically kick out of Omega’s One Winged Angel finish, a move that has been protected over the years, with Kota Ibushi and Omega himself being amongst the few to actually kick out of the move in the past.

While speaking to 1010XL in a new interview, Will Ospreay reflected on kicking out of the One Winged Angel and what it meant to him.

“That I won Kenny’s trust, because a lot of that comes down to how much he wants to protect it and going forward, like where… Where does that put me? It just elevates me up to like a legendary status that I will never fully be able to express my gratitude for having that type of moment with someone that I do generally look at as like a hero of mine. So to have that was just out of this world, mind blowing. Like I’m just super grateful for it.”

Elsewhere in another recent interview, Ospreay spoke about wanting to be David Beckham as a kid. You can read more about that here.
