Fightful Select has learned that AEW World Champion Will Ospreay owns the United Empire name and has the freedom to use it in All Elite Wrestling.

Sources familiar with the situation confirmed Ospreay controls the name, which he trademarked earlier this year, a different situation from the Bullet Club Gold/Bang Bang Gang one.”

United Empire now exists in AEW and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. In AEW, ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey is the latest name to be added to the group. AEW National Champion Andrade El Idolo is also a part of United Empire.
On the Japan side, the group is headed by Callum Newman and includes Francesco Akira, Great-O-Khan, HENARE, Jake Lee, Jakob Austin Young, and Zane Jay.
Ospreay, O-Khan and HENARE are the reigning NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champions. Ospreay is returning to NJPW for King of Pro-Wrestling on October 12th, where he’ll defend the belts alongside HENARE and O-Khan.
