Will Ospreay Reveals Why Pro-Wrestling: EVE Is Waiting Until End Of February To Announce Syuri’s Match For Wrestle Queendom 8

As of this writing, Syuri is a double champion.

The reigning IWGP Women’s and NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion is Syuri. One of her upcoming dates is for Pro-Wrestling: EVE at Wrestle Queendom 8.

Her match has yet to be announced, and EVE producer Will Ospreay explained why that is during an interview with Pep Shop Collectibles.

“We have an idea of what we are gonna do with that match (involving Syuri) but we cannot announce it until towards the end of February, because if there is any type of ramifications with any of her championships, it is gonna drastically change our booking. So we are ready to go with this announcement but we have to wait until the time is right.”

On 2/27, Syuri will be defending the IWGP Women’s Championship against Athena at NJPW The New Beginning USA.

Two days before Wrestle Queendom 8 on March 6th, Syuri will be in action at EVE’s ‘Women Behaving Badly’ show. She’ll be teaming with Safire Reed to take on AZM and Alex Windsor.
