Will Ospreay shares that he was ill during a G1 Climax 32 bout.

On day 12 of the 2022 G1 Climax tournament, Will Ospreay would meet Shingo Takagi in a bout during the round robin tournament that to this day is remembered fondly by New Japan Pro Wrestling fans. However, Ospreay was not at one hundred percent during the bout.

On social media on Wednesday, Will would make a post quote tweeting a highlight package from the match revealing he was actually ‘extremely ill’ while working the bout.

Ospreay would come up short in the match, as Shingo would defeat him to draw himself level with Ospreay on 4 points at the time.

Following AEW All In last month, Ospreay would reveal that he had been dealing with neck issues and that he would be going away for a little while, but still hoped to make it back in time for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door in the United Kingdom later this month. You can read more about that here.

In a recent interview Fightful had with Kyle Fletcher, he reflected on his steel cage match with Ospreay earlier this year, remarking that he wanted to avoid a thumbtack in the penis. You can read more about that here.
