Will Ospreay Says ‘Super Lovely’ People In WWE Reached Out When They Heard About His Neck Injury

There were ‘super lovely’ people who reached out to Ospreay.

The Lights Out Steel Cage match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door is going to be Will Ospreay’s last match for the foreseeable future. He confirmed that he’ll be undergoing neck surgery, and there is no timetable for his return.

Ahead of Forbidden Door, Metro rolled out an interview with Ospreay. He shared that when the news of his injury was made public, many people from WWE reached out. Ospreay said everyone has been lovely.

“I’ve got people in (WWE) that I’ve never met before in my entire life, that have reached out because of this neck injury, and they have gone, ‘Hey, if you need a doctor, or if there’s any questions that need to be answered.’ Every single one of them are super lovely. And I wish them all the best. I really do.”

On the AEW front, Ospreay stated that Adam Copeland has been someone he’s been able to talk to about neck surgery. He said Copeland has helped him set aside a lot of his worries.

“Cope has been amazing with my neck and my anxiety. He has been a real good guy to go to in his room and talk about this thing, and he’s put a lot of worries behind me.”

Swerve Strickland is also set to take time off following Forbidden Door. He’ll be undergoing surgery for the torn meniscus injury that he’s been working on since 2019.
