Will Ospreay’s mother has spoken about the challenges of raising him during his school years and dealing with his neurodivergence.

Ospreay has been vocal in the past about suffering from social anxiety and autism, while also noting that he spent his youth obsessed with the world of professional wrestling. Now, his mum has weighed in on the challenge of raising him.

While speaking during the latest Rebuild & Destroy vlog on AEW’s YouTube, Will Ospreay’s mother would explain the biggest challenge raising him.

“My biggest challenge as your mum was telling you that you are not useless. The first words you said to me when you left school, I said, ‘are you going to go to college or are you going to go to work? They are your two choices. They’re your only choices. You’re not going to sit indoors doing nothing. What are you going to do?’ You said, ‘I can’t, I’m done with education. I will go to work,’ and I went, ‘fine. What are you going to do?’ and you said, ‘I don’t know. I’m useless.’ That’s what you said to me. You were 16. You had done a 14-year apprenticeship at school, and you came out there telling me you were useless.”
