Willow Nightingale Def. Thekla To Become AEW Women’s World Champion At Redemption PPV

The new AEW Women’s World Champion is Willow Nightingale.

The semi-main event of the 2026 AEW Redemption pay-per-view was Thekla putting the AEW Women’s World Championship on the line against Willow Nightingale.

There was a point in the bout when Nightingale had Thekla pinned, but Triangle of Madness member Skye Blue showed up and put Thekla’s foot on the bottom rope.

Nightingale then powerbombed Blue on the outside of the ring. When she got back in the ring, Thekla hit her with a spear, but Nightingale kicked out.

Thekla went for another move, but Nightingale countered into a backslide for a pin, and it secured her the three-count and the championship. AEW World Trios Champions The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly) came out to celebrate with Nightingale.

With the win, Nightingale is now set to defend the AEW Women’s World Title against Mercedes Moné at All In on August 30th.
