Willow Nightingale has her eyes on gold.
Willow Nightingale is a former AEW TBS Champion. She held the title for only 35 days. She defended it twice in AEW, but on her second defense, she lost the title to Mercedes Mone at AEW Double or Nothing.
During a recent interview with MuscleManMalcolm, Nightingale spoke about her desire to be a champion again in AEW. She was asked about the AEW Women's World Championship, but noted that she isn't involved in this year's Owen Hart Foundation Memorial Cup Tournament and is on the outside looking in that particular championship picture. However, she wants another shot at Mercedes Mone and getting back the championship she once held.
She also spoke about wanting to win the Ring of Honor Women's World Championship finally.
"If you think about it, like I was TBS Champ for a month, I do not feel fulfilled. I want to get it back. So Mercedes is definitely on the radar. The Ring of Honor Women's Champion was something that was always something that kind of like, something that kind of like, evaded me. Roxanne [Perez], who was Rok-C at the time, had it; I tried to beat her. That didn't work. I tried to beat Mercedes [Martinez] to win, it didn't work. So I do not have a good streak. I do not have a good record when it comes to the Ring of Honor Women's Championship. So that's also something that I'm like, 'It would be really nice to feel that and finally, one day, get it.'"
Willow Nightingale recently helped The Opps' Katsuyori Shibata, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Samoa Joe defeat The Death Riders trio of Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, and Jon Moxley for the AEW World Trios Titles, getting a measure of revenge on Moxley and Marina Shafir in the process.
