Willow Nightingale Recalls Bryan Danielson Comforting Her After Not Performing Well In A Match
The moment meant a lot to Nightingale.
Dani of Black Girl Wrestling has an interview up with the reigning AEW TBS Champion Willow Nightingale.
During the chat, Nightingale recalled a time when she felt she did not perform well in a match and was down about it. She shared that Bryan Danielson comforted her.
“I recently remembered a match that I actually hate watching back. It’s a match that one of my biggest, I guess regret, one of my biggest in-ring regrets — after that match, Bryan Danielson actually comforted me and was like, ‘Hey, you know what? I was actually gonna say when you were giving us fire in that match and you were all amped up, I wanted more of that,’ and he was like, ‘I wasn’t even gonna critique the stuff you did…’ And I was crying and I was like, ‘Really!? Thank you.’”
At AEW Dynamite: Spring BreakThru, Nightingale successfully defended the TBS Championship against Kamille. It was Nightingale’s eighth defense of her second reign with the belt.
