WNBA Indiana Fever’s Sophie Cunningham Reacts To WOW Founder David McLane Wanting Her In Wrestling

Cunningham said she’s focused on basketball, but mentions that she grew up a fan of WWE.

While at San Diego Comic Con, W.O.W. (Women of Wrestling) founder David McLane expressed his interest in bringing WNBA Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham to the organization. McLane hails from Indianapolis, Indiana.

Cunningham was asked about the offer by journalist Landon Buford. In addition to that, she was asked if she were to head to WWE or AEW, who would she want to work with.

“Man, I have no idea (who I’d want to work with if I went to WWE or AEW). I thought that that tweet was pretty funny. I don’t know what will happen with that. I’m still just kind of focused on basketball but it is kind of cool but no, I’ve been a lifelong WWE fan for a really long time ever since we were little and so, I think it would be something kind of fun to get into.”

The Indiana Fever are 17-12 in the current WNBA season. They have the fifth-best record in the league.
