The first confirmed NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff match has been set.
WWE announced today that Kay Lee Ray would take on NXT UK Women's Champion Toni Storm at August's Takeover: Cardiff event. It would be the first match announced for the event.
KLR teased that she would challenge Toni on today's episode of WWE NXT UK, but then said that she wanted to make Toni wait to defend her title on the biggest NXT UK stage ever -- NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff, and would make her life hell until then.

Storm won the title back in January, and has six title defenses total since then, with a few airing on WWE TV.
NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff takes place on Saturday, August 31 from the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Wales. It kicks off at 3 PM EST on the WWE Network, ahead of AEW's All Out, and up against New Japan Pro Wrestling's Royal Quest event. Fightful will have full coverage of each show.
