Worlds Collide Replacing NXT TakeOver The Night Before WWE Royal Rumble 2020

Big change to WWE Royal Rumble Weekend.

WWE announced their travel packages for Royal Rumble 2020 weekend, which allows fans to purchase tickets to the weekend events and special festivities and experiences. The travel package notes Worlds Collide on Saturday, Jan. 25, the night before the Royal Rumble. Typically, the night before a Big 4 (Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series) pay-per-view has been reserved for NXT TakeOver events.

The listing of Worlds Collide is not a mistake according to Pro Wrestling Sheet when they asked WWE for clarification. Pro Wrestling Sheet goes on to report that more details regarding the 2020 NXT TakeOver schedule will be announced in the near future.

WWE held Worlds Collide during Royal Rumble 2019 and WrestleMania 35 weekend as part of their Axxess events. The shows featured superstars across all brands and special events such as NXT vs. NXT Alumni, Women Collide, Battle of the Brands, and more. The events would later air on WWE Network.

Fightful will provide more details on the WWE schedule change when they are made available.
