Wren Sinclair reflects on what inspired her to become a professional wrestler, pointing to a promo from one Enzo Amore.
Upon Enzo Amore’s arrival in NXT along with Big Cass, he would become one of the most over promos on the brand quite quickly, with his entrance promo becoming widely repeated back to him even before the duo made it to the WWE main roster.
While speaking during an NXT fan Q and A recorded by Rock and Co, Wren Sinclair was asked about her pro wrestling inspiration, noting that she wanted to become a pro wrestler after witnessing the crowd chant back Enzo’s signature promo.
“What actually made me want to become a wrestler, I feel like is someone that no one would expect. I actually saw Enzo Amore on an NXT live show in Texas, and just when he came out and he spoke and everyone spoke with him, I was like, ‘that is power.’ I need that kind of power.’ So then I went- I’m sorry. I wanted that kind of power. So that is why I started wrestling, because I wanted to have people right in the palm of my hand.”
Elsewhere in the same Q and A, Ethan Page spoke about John Cena’s retirement. You can read more about that here.
