WWE Abandons 'The Collective' Trademark

On December 15, WWE filed to trademark "The Collective," which is a term used by GCW for its collection of WrestleMania week events.

WWE filed for the trademark under the following description:

The Young Bucks Thank Fans For Watching 4/24 AEW Dynamite, Highlight Thrilling Ending

IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports via an online community portal

On June 4, WWE requested an express abandonment of the trademark filing.

At the time of WWE's filing on the trademark, Fightful reached out to GCW promoter Brett Lauderdale, who simply commented "Everything is gonna be ok."

"Gimmick attorney" Michael Dockins also commented, saying, "Sure. I’m up for hanging another L on the fed."
