WWE Abandons Trademark For 'Edge' Under 'Wrestling Performances,' Still Have Active Trademark Under 'Clothing'

WWE has abandoned one trademark filing on "Edge."

On April 7, WWE abandoned their trademark filing on "Edge" under the description, "Wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered through broadcast media including television and via the Internet or commercial online services; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports via an online community portal."

WWE Revives Trademark Filing On 'Edge'

WWE entered the application in November 2024.

WWE still has an active trademark on "Edge" under the description, "Clothing, namely, tops [, jackets, bottoms, underwear, pajamas; footwear, namely, shoes, sneakers, slippers; headwear, namely, hats ]"

Edge was the ring name used by Cope (Adam Copeland in AEW) from 1993 to 2023. He initially went by Adam Copeland when he signed with AEW in October 2023, but shortened it to Cope to start 2025.
