WWE Announces Elias Is Out Of King Of The Ring Tournament With Injury

WWE announced that Elias is out of his King of the Ring semifinal match against Chad Gable due to an injury. The two were set to square off on Tuesday's episode of SmackDown with the winner moving on to face Baron Corbin at Clash of Champions in the finals of the tournament.

Due to an injury, Elias will not compete in his scheduled King of the Ring semifinal match against Chad Gable.

PWInsider reports that Elias injured his ankle and the decision was made to not let him compete.

WWE did not announce a replacement for Elias. Fightful will provide more information on the situation when it is known.

The official preview for WWE SmackDown hypes The Undertaker's return to Madison Square Garden, Kofi Kingston coming full circle as he returns to MSG while feuding with Randy Orton, and Roman Reigns searching for payback against Erick Rowan.

With Elias vs. Gable off the show, no matches have been officially announced.
