WWE Backstage Draws 97,000 Viewers For New Year's Eve Episode

Viewership for the final episode of WWE Backstage of 2019 is in.

According to Showbuzz Daily, the December 31 episode of WWE Backstage averaged 97,000 viewers and drew a 0.03 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Both of those numbers are down from last week's episode, which aired on Christmas Eve. That episode ended up drawing 153,000 viewers and drew a 0.05 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

Despite the drop in viewership, it is still just barely higher than the December 17 episode of Backstage, which actually drew 95,000 viewers. That show did not rank in the top 150 among cable originals in the 18-49 demographic while the December 31 episode managed to rank 124th on cable for the day, which is the same placement that the December 24 episode had.

That wasn't the only piece of WWE programming that took place on December 31 as there was a match between Roman Reigns and Dolph Ziggler that was part of FOX's New Year's Eve with Steve Harvey special. That special averaged 2.795 million viewers and drew a 0.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

WWE Backstage airs Tuesdays on FOX Sports 1 at 11 p.m. ET.
