WWE previously postponed its Australia and New Zealand tour, which was scheduled for August.

Empty arena shows have been held in Japan during the pandemic, but NJPW has steered clear of running events. However, Bushiroad, the parent company for NJPW, recently issued a statement saying live events will resume soon. Japan recently lifted its State of Emergency and has announced empty arena sports can begin on June 19.

NJPW is set to make an announcement regarding future events on Tuesday, June 9.
