The WWE Championship will be defended on the upcoming episode of WWE Raw.
During the September 10 edition of SmackDown, WWE advertised that Bobby Lashley will face Randy Orton this Monday, September 13, with the WWE Championship on the line. The two men were initially set to do battle at Extreme Rules on September 26. No explanation was given for the change of plans.
The two men were already scheduled for this Monday's show in what was supposed to be a WWE Raw Tag Team Championship match. Bobby Lashley and MVP secured their chance to become WWE Raw Tag Team Champions last week by winning a gauntlet match, last eliminating AJ Styles and Omos.
