Miz will make his first WWE Title defense next Monday, March 1.
As a result of his victory over Braun Strowman, Bobby Lashley will receive a shot at The Miz and the WWE Title next Monday on Raw. Lashley made relatively short work of Strowman, kicking out of his powerslam and putting him away with a one-arm slam. After the bout, Lashley put Strowman in The Hurt Lock and slammed Miz down for his troubles as well. Lashley finished off Miz with a spear before holding up the WWE Title to close the show.
The Miz opened the show with a special championship edition of Miz TV, but his celebration was cut short thanks to Lashley and MVP, who came to collect. Lashley took out Drew McIntyre after McIntyre was successful inside Elimination Chamber, leading to Miz cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase and winning the WWE Title.
Miz was given one hour to provide an answer to Lashley. Instead of giving an answer, he wanted to delay the match a week. That led to Braun Strowman and then Shane McMahon coming out. Braun demanded a WWE Title match, but Shane made Monday's match where if Strowman defeated Lashley, it would be a triple threat match for the WWE Title next Monday.
He won't get a #WWEChampionship opportunity tonight, but @BraunStrowman WILL get @fightbobby one-on-one...— WWE (@WWE) February 23, 2021
