Bobby Lashley will now have to defend WWE Championship at WrestleMania Backlash in a triple threat match.
Initially, at the start of the evening, it was only supposed to be Drew McIntyre getting another chance at the WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley on May 16 at WrestleMania Backlash.
After winding up on the wrong side of Braun Strowman in a match where they were supposed to be tag team partners on the April 27 Monday Night Raw, it was decided that Braun and Drew would go one-on-one to determine the proper match at WrestleMania Backlash. Should Braun Strowman be victorious, he would be added to the match.
The match was ferocious and heavy-hitting but in the end, thanks to some interference from MACE and T-BAR, Braun Strowman will be heading to WrestleMania Backlash for his shot at the WWE Championship.

Braun Strowman has never been WWE champion. He has, however, been WWE Universal champion. He lost the championship to Bray Wyatt at SummerSlam of last year.
