WWE has come to terms on the release of Kenta Kobayashi (Hideo Itami).

This news comes moments after WWE announced their release of Tye Dillinger.

Fightful reported on Jan. 29 that Itami had asked for his release from the company. Itami had wrestled on that night's episode of 205 Live, losing to Akira Tozawa in singles competition. Following the bout, Itami took to Twitter, eluding to his time at WWE coming to an end.

Itami made his NXT debut on September 11, 2014 at NXT TakeOver: Fatal 4-Way when he was introduced to the crowd by NXT General Manager William Regal. He battled through shoulder and neck injuries that kept him sidelined throughout his NXT career. He was moved to 205 Live in November 2017, but failed to gain traction on the brand.

Following news of his reported release, WWE Superstars posted their good-byes to Itami and 205 Life documented Itami's final days on the brand.
