WWE Could Have Big Mania Plans For Current NXT Superstar

Joey Headrocker could be rocking some heads at Wrestlemania 33.

While the mania card is not finalized by any means, WWE officials have been discussing the possibility of having current WWE NXT Superstar and former two time NXT Champion Samoa Joe compete in one of the top few matches on the show. This according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

There's been copious speculation, with nary a confirmed report, about Joe debuting in the 30-man Royal Rumble match on January 29th.  It would seem a perfect time to do it. The only match he wrestled during the recent NXT TV tapings from Full Sail was a dark match, which means he almost certainly won't be on NXT TV before the Rumble, and they have no storyline plans for him for Takeover San Antonio and beyond.

According to The WON, officials would be giving Joe a "monster push" in the weeks leading up to a possible WrestleMania 33 match.
