WWE Deletes Tweet Insinuating NXT Will Be A Part Of Draft

WWE quickly deleted a tweet which made it seem as though NXT would have a hand in the upcoming WWE Draft.

WWE’s Social Media Manager may have been too overzealous with their most recent tweet. As the WWE Draft is coming up this Friday, WWE's official Twitter account put out a tweet asking fans who their first draft pick would be and included all three brands of Monday Night Raw, Friday Night SmackDown, and WWE NXT.

All advertising for the recent draft has only made mention of Raw and SmackDown as being participants in the upcoming draft which will conclude on Monday, October 12. However, Triple H has mentioned on media calls in the past that NXT talent is always included in the mix when discussing shake-ups like these but they are handled in a different format than that of the brand split that you see on television.

During a media call that took place on Wednesday, September 30, Triple H admitted he doesn't know where NXT stands as it relates to the upcoming draft.

"I wish I did, but I don't. The draft is coming. I'm unsure. You, like myself, will have to stay tuned and wait and see. The draft is always an exciting time because you can get new talent, fresh matchups, and everything else. Like you, I'll be sitting back and waiting to see the excitement unfold," he said.

With less than a week to go before the next WWE Draft, any shake-ups heading to the black and gold rebellion will be known sooner rather than later.

As for Twitter, perhaps WWE’s Social Media Manager will stick to tweeting Lady Gaga lyrics until the draft is over.
