Six-Man Tag, Mixed Tag, X-Division Title Bout, More Announced For TNA Under Siege

This will be the twelfth consecutive Extreme Rules event. This event began in 2009 as a replacement for the WWE One Night Stand pay-per-view when the company turned to a PG model. The first-ever Extreme Rules event saw Jeff Hardy defeat Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship in a ladder match only to be cashed in on by CM Punk a few short moments later.

The most recent event also played host to a cash-in. After Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch defeated Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans, Brock Lesnar would cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase and swiftly defeat “The Architect” to continue their WWE Universal Championship feud into the 2019 SummerSlam.
