WWE, AEW, TNA, NJPW Wrestler Injury Report List: Expected Returns, Inactives | Fightful

WWE RAW

Austin Theory: On August 6, there were conflicting reports stating that Austin Theory had been removed from WWE’s roster. Fightful Select clarified that Theory isn’t off the roster entirely; instead, he’s currently listed as injured. His last match was on the July 14 episode of WWE Main Event. There is no estimated return date.

Chad Gable: Gable announced in a social media post on 7/1/25 that he had successful surgery on an undisclosed injury to his arm. There is currently no estimated return date.

Naomi: Maternity Leave

Penta: Penta was injured on the November 24, 2025, episode of WWE Raw. He dislocated his shoulder after landing on his left shoulder during his match with Solo Sikoa in the Last Time is Now Tournament. On December 4th, Penta’s Doctor said in an Instagram video, “It is on the right track and we have had good results so far, but we must not get complacent and must continue working together. I am confident that he will be ready by Friday.” Based on his Doctor’s view, he is expected to return soon, but WWE has not yet confirmed a return date.

Seth Rollins: Seth Rollins suffered a shoulder injury in his match against Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel. Rollins had undergone surgery and is expected to be about until early Spring. Rollins was on Bret Kreischer’s YouTube cooking show “Something’s Cooking” in late November 2025 and said he hopes to begin training in February for a potential return in April. Seth can occasionally be seen on TV as co-host for NFL Network’s Good Morning Football (GMFB) and its Overtime show during the 2025-2026 NFL season.

Sheamus: Sheamus was pulled from WWE’s ‘The Last Time is Now’ Tournament due to a shoulder injury. Sheamus last wrestled on the November 17th, 2025 edition of Raw (Cena’s last time at Madison Square Garden). There is no estimated return date.

Zoey Stark: On the 5/29/25 episode of Raw. Zoey suffered tears to her ACL, MCL, and meniscus. There is no estimated return date, but she will be out for the rest of 2025.

WWE SMACKDOWN

Apollo Crews: Suffered a Torn Pectoral Injury on the 1/31 SmackDown episode; had surgery in February 2025. On 8/14, Crews posted on his Instagram Stories that he was in-ring training. There is no estimated return date.

Elton Prince: Prince has been out of action with an undisclosed injury. He last wrestled on the June 20th episode of SmackDown. There is no estimated return date.

Kevin Owens: Kevin announced on the April 4th SmackDown that he will be undergoing neck surgery and will be out of action for an extended period. Fightful Select reported on July 19th that Owens underwent surgery on July 18th, which was successful. There is no estimated return date.

Piper Niven: Fightful Select reports that Piper is out of action with a neck injury. Fightful Select was informed that, although the injury is serious, those we spoke to believe she will recover and return. There is no estimated return date.

WWE Unassigned:

Omos: Inactive on WWE main roster, Omos has made appearances at NXT House Shows in Columbus, Ohio, and Detroit, Michigan (10/25)

WWE NXT:

Adriana Rizzo: Adriana announced in a social media post on 8/10/25 that she had a Torn ACL + Meniscus. In a Q&A from late September, Adriana stated she would likely be out until Spring of 2026.

Brinley Reece: On May 23rd, 2025, Reece announced on Instagram that she underwent successful shoulder surgery. There is no estimated return date.

Noam Dar: Noam had to relinquish the NXT Heritage Cup due to injury. The injury has not been disclosed. There is no estimated return date.

AEW

Adam Cole: Adam Cole is sidelined from action for the foreseeable future with a concussion-related health issue.

Andrade: Currently inactive in AEW due to a legal situation revolving around his contract with the WWE. He worked the WWC Lockout event on 12/13/25 and won the WWC Universal Championship.

Anthony Henry: Henry stated in a social media post on October 14th that he underwent successful surgery for a torn bicep. There is no estimated return date at this time.

The Blade: The Blade announced on Instagram on Tuesday, September 12, 2024, that he had successfully undergone back fusion surgery. The Blade returned to action on December 13th, 2025 at Blissmas ’25.

Bobby Lashley: During AEW Collision Winter is Coming, MVP announced that Bobby Lashley is currently injured. No further details were provided on the injury to Lashley.

Brian Cage: Sidelined since March, underwent a third knee surgery in early to mid-November 2025. There is no estimated return date.

Buddy Matthews: Buddy said on the Chris Van Vliet podcast (4/29/25) that he partially tore the ligaments, but they were not completely ruptured. On 8/7/25, Buddy announced that he would be having surgery on August 7th. There is no estimated return date.

Chris Jericho: Inactive

Colten Gunn: On the 7/19/25 episode of AEW Collision, Gunn suffered an undisclosed injury. While in the match, he grabbed his knee and removed himself from the action. A ringside doctor could be seen checking on Colten, and he was helped to the back. There is no estimated return date.

Danhausen: Last appeared on ROH Final Battle 2024. Danhausen continues to appear at Independent promotions. There is no estimated return date.

Dr. Britt Baker: Baker is inactive. She last wrestled on the 11/24/24 episode of Dynamite. There is no estimated return date. Fightful reported that she’s physically healthy.

Dralistico: On 12/10/25, Dralistico posted on Instagram that he would undergo surgery. It is currently unknown what the surgery procedure is for or how long he will be out of action.

Dustin Rhodes: Dustin announced August 5th that the damage to his knees is so significant that he needs two knee replacement surgeries and will have the surgery on August 21st. There is no estimated return date.

Emi Sakura: Inactive in AEW, but is wrestling in Japan

Isiah Kassidy: Isiah and Marq Quen of Private Party both last wrestled in AEW on the 1/22/25 episode of AEW Dynamite. There is no estimated return date.

Hologram: Sustained a knee injury likely to sideline him until 2026

Jay White: Fightful Select reported 4/2/25 that White will be out of action until at least 2026 with a shoulder injury.

Kamille: Kamille has been inactive. She was recently added to the cast of the American Gladiators reboot.

Keith Lee: Lee said in a social media post on June 26th, “Again, I am quite fine. It is not up to me when it comes to a return. But blessings to you as well.” Lee was backstage at AEW All In Texas

Kota Ibushi: Kota fractured his femur at the taping of the 10/08/25 episode of AEW Collision Homecoming. Kota said in a social media post on October 14 that he could be out for two years; however, he added that he did not expect to be out for the full two years.

Leila Grey: Leila Grey revealed on social media that she tore her ACL during the match she had against Mercedes Moné on the December 6th episode of AEW Collision. There is no estimated return date.

Madison Rayne: Inactive

Marq Quen: Marq Quen and his tag partner, Isiah Kassidy of Private Party, both last wrestled in AEW on the 1/22/25 episode of AEW Dynamite. There is no estimated return date.

Matt Sydal: In a social media post on June 14th, 2024, Sydal announced that he underwent surgery for a right foot injury. He said the surgeon in the procedure would have to break and re-fuse three bones and use hardware to set his toes into the joints. His latest wrestling match was in St. Petersburg, Florida, on December 14th, 2025.

Nick Wayne: Announced on the 8/20/25 episode of AEW Dynamite that he would miss AEW Forbidden Door due to a broken foot. There is no estimated return date.

Nyla Rose: Inactive, did however, wrestle in November at EVE 141 in England.

Ortiz: Worked dark match against Hook on December 10th, 2025.

Paul Wight: Inactive, with no estimated return date. He is doing publicity work for the company.

Rebel: Inactive

Ruby Soho: Maternity Leave. Announced pregnancy after AEW Dynamite ended on 4/17/24.

Rush: Rush was scheduled to challenge Bandido for the ROH World Title at ROH Final Battle on December 5, but was unable to compete due to a knee injury, per Tony Khan. There is no estimated return date.

Thunder Rosa: Out of action with an undisclosed injury, in a social media post in late November that she has been training for a return. There is no estimated return date.

Wardlow: Fightful Select has confirmed that Wardlow has a torn pectoral muscle. It is believed to have happened during his return at AEW Forbidden Door. He is expected to be out until 2026.

Will Ospreay: Ospreay is out of action with two herniated discs (C2 and C6) in his neck and underwent surgery in September. Tony Khan told Ariel Helwani on the 11/18 edition show that, “Will Ospreay’s gonna be back with AEW, I think, hopefully earlier next year. I can’t say exactly when but it’ll be next year, and I hope it’ll be in the first half of next year.”

TNA

Chris Bey: Chris Bey was taken to a hospital with a neck injury and underwent surgery on 10/27/24. Chris Bey revealed that he suffered from paralysis, which he is actively recovering from.

Jonathan Gresham: On 8/7/25, Gresham revealed on social media that he suffered two strokes. Gresham is making his return to the ring at GCW & JCW’s “Superpower Slam” event in New York City on February 1st.

KC Navarro: On the 8/7/25 episode of TNA Impact!, KC announced that he has a Torn ACL.

KiLynn King: It was announced that KiLynn has a Torn ACL in December 2023. In a social media post on 8/21/25, KiLynn provided an update stating that in August 2024, she had an L4-L5 herniated disc. In the video that she posted, she is seen touching her toes and said, “Today for the 1st time in a year and a half, I touched my toes. Mommas getting better.”

Steph De Lander: De Lander announced at TNA Victory Road that she would be undergoing neck surgery for the C5 and C6 vertebrae. She said on her podcast, That’s Cooked, that she expects to be out for at least six months, if not longer.

NJPW

Francesco Akira: Francesco suffered a fractured wrist at Revolution Pro Wrestling’s Global Wars U.K. on August 22nd. He did have a successful surgery, and there is no estimated return date.

HENARE: Suffered a shoulder injury in December 2024. Per Fightful Select, he could be out all of 2025.

OTHERS:

Bobby Buffett: On March 4th, Bobby announced that he suffered an ACL injury. He says there is no set timetable for his return.

Colby Corino: On August 3rd, Colby Corino announced that he needed emergency neck and back surgery. There is no estimated return date.

Cole Radrick: Cole suffered a torn ACL and torn bucket-handle meniscus at GCW’s No Comprade event on March 27th; he will be out of action for six to nine months.

Daiki Inaba: On September 23rd, 2025, at NOAH’s NOAH N-1 Victory Tournament at Korakuen Hall. Inaba suffered a leg injury, which resulted in being transported to a hospital. Inaba was injured when he went for a diving press. Inaba was seen grabbing his right thigh. He was unable to stand after the match and was stretchered off.

Koshiro Asakura: Koshiro suffered a Torn ACL & Meniscus injury at the BJW event at Korakuen Hall on 7/27. On September 20, 2025, Asakura posted on X that the surgery “went well.” He is expected to miss a year.

LJ Cleary: In a social media post on 10/10/25, LJ announced that he would be out of action for the rest of 2025 due to an undisclosed injury.

OZAWA: OZAWA was competing in Pro Wrestling NOAH’s N-1 Victory tournament, but he suffered a Lisfranc ligament injury. It was then determined that he would miss the rest of the tournament, and his matches would be forfeited. OZAWA shared that he underwent successful ligament reconstruction surgery on his foot. There is no estimated return date.

Shayne Hawke: Announced in a tweet on July 12th, 2023, that he has a broken neck and back. He will be out for the foreseeable future.

YO-HEY: YO-HEY suffered a medial meniscus injury in his left knee while competing in Pro Wrestling NOAH’s N-1 Victory event on September 23rd. There is no estimated return date.

Zandokan Jr.: On 9/23/25, Zandokan Jr. announced on Instagram that he suffered a knee injury. There is no estimated return date.
