Those who were a part of Legends' House walked away with a nice pay day.
WWE launched their Legends' House series a few weeks after WrestleMania 30 as a way to grow subscriber numbers on the WWE Network. The show featured numerous WWE Hall Of Famers such as the late "Mean" Gene Okerlund, Jimmy Hart, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Shawn Michaels made an appearance on the show, Tony Atlas, Pat Patterson, the late "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Howard Finkel.
The show was taped in 2012 and the one and only season of it ran from April of 2014 to June of 2014. Episodes from the show are up on the Network and clips can be seen on WWE's YouTube channel. Hillbilly Jim, who was also a cast member spoke with 'Bowling Green Daily News' and shared that the cast were paid $50,000 to be on Legends' House and here's an excerpt from the article:
In 2010, Morris got a call from the WWE asking him if he would like to be a part of a hangout reunion in a reality show with some of his old wrestling buddies.
?It had been about 20 years since my last official match, except for some WrestleMania appearances,? he said.
He listened to what plans the WWE had in store for the reunion show and liked it, especially since it was going to be a $50,000 payday.
?It was going to be called Legends House,? he said. ?There would be eight of us and we?d all be put together for about 21 days to video 12 episodes that would air on the WWE channel where it would be one of the anchor shows.?
Hillbilly Jim added that all expenses were paid and the legends never needed for anything because they were taken care of in every aspect of the phrase. For the full story, click here.
