WWE Negotiating Over 'Stone Cold' Trademark

WWE has entered into negotiation settlements with NFL player Chris Jones over the "Stone Cold" trademark.

WWE filed a complaint on September 14 opposing the trademark “Stone Cold Jones Soda," which WWE believes infringes on their "Stone Cold" and "Stone Cold Steve Austin" trademarks. On October 23, Stone Cold LLC responded, saying they didn't believe there was any confusion. You can find the original complaint and response by clicking here.

On December 15, WWE filed a motion to suspend the trademark proceedings. The document (via Heel By Nature) reads:

The parties are actively engaged in negotiations for the settlement of this matter. World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. requests that this proceeding be suspended for 30 days to allow the parties to continue their settlement efforts.

If there is no word from either party on January 15, 2021, proceedings shall resume without further notice.
