WWE NXT’s DarkState To Compete At TNA Slammiversary

For the first time on TV, NXT’s DarkState will compete at full force. The chaotic foursome of Cutler James, Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, and Saquon Shugars will compete at TNA Slammiversary. They will be going against The System’s JDC, Brian Myers, and Eddie Edwards. Joining The System for one night only will be Matt Cardona. This comes after DarkState attacked all four men on the July 17 TNA iMPACT!

DarkState has competed in 10 matches since coming together as a group. Only one of those matches has seen all four competitors wrestle at the same time. That was their first match, which took place at a WWE NXT live event on April 5, 2025. On that night in Gainesville, Florida, DarkState defeated Drake Morreaux, Drako Knox, Javier Bernal, and Uriah Connors.

As for their opposition, Matt Cardona is no stranger to teaming with Brian Myers. They won WWE Tag Team Championship gold on two occasions. However, in recent weeks, the rest of The System had made an enemy out of the former NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion. That changed when they made the save for Cardona against DarkState on July 17.
