WWE Payback 2020 Set For 8/30 On WWE Network

The rumors are confirmed, WWE will be hosting another pay-per-view just seven days after SummerSlam and there is already a confirmed championship bout.

After it was first reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE confirmed that Payback 2020 will take place on September 30, just one week after SummerSlam 2020.

The event was confirmed on the August 14th episode of SmackDown when Sasha Banks announced that she and Bayley are being forced to defend the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship at the event. It was later confirmed even further by Michael Cole that the event will take place the week after SummerSlam.

Also on August 14th, Michael Cole confirmed that WWE will be leaving the WWE Performance Center for the next episode of SmackDown. Reports state that WWE will be starting a residency at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida beginning with the August 21st episode of SmackDown. Learn more at this link.
