Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for tonight's edition of WWE Monday Night RAW!
- We open tonight's show with the announcement that Bobby Lashley will defend his WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre at Wrestlemania.
- We open tonight's show in the ThunderDome with The Hurt Business as newly crowned WWE champion Bobby Lashley and MVP come out to the ring and celebrate their first successful title defense. The Miz and John Morrison then come out and interrupt the two while trying to lobby Miz into a WWE Championship match at Wrestlemania before they're then interrupted by Drew McIntyre. Drew gets into the ring and tells Bobby about how he knows how hard and long of a journey to the title for Bobby was, mentioning how it took him seventeen years as opposed to Bobby's sixteen. Drew and Bobby nearly come to blows before MVP separates before Drew is distracted by Miz and Morrison and Bobby attacks Drew and leaves him lying in the ring. Sheamus then attacks Bobby on the stage as MVP is watching Miz and Morrison beat on Drew in the ring before Sheamus is dragged to the back and MVP holds Bobby back on the ramp as we go to commercial.
- Backstage Sheamus explains that he attacked Bobby because he attacked Drew and that he wants Drew to be one hundred percent before Sheamus says that he wants to face Bobby tonight.
Drew McIntyre vs The Miz (w/ John Morrison)
Miz goes right after Drew who drives him into the corner and hits him with chops and right hands before hitting a release suplex and a headbutt. Drew stomps Miz and hits him with strikes and a clothesline in the corner before Miz tries to crawl up the ramp and Drew drives him into the barricade. Drew chops Miz at ringside and tosses him back inside before John momentarily distracts Drew and throws sunglasses at him before Miz capitalizes. Miz chokes Drew in the ropes before Drew turns him inside out and hits a reverse Alabama slam before John drags Miz out of the ring when he goes for a Claymore. The referee then ejects John from ringside as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to Miz in control before Drew counters the Skull Crushing Finale and hits a jumping neckbreaker and tossing Miz out of the ring. Drew drives Miz into the barricade and apron repeatedly before smashing his face into the steps and tossing him back inside before hitting the Future Shock DDT. Drew then hits the Claymore before submitting Miz with the Hurt Lock after pointing to the Wrestlemania sign.
Winner: Drew McIntyre defeats The Miz via submission.
- Backstage we see Damian Priest and the 24/7 champion Bad Bunny.
- We get a recap of Shane McMahon mocking Braun Strowman and making fun of him last week before Braun chased him to the back. We then see Braun making his way from the back as we're told that he's going to have a message for Shane as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to Shane making his way out onto the stage before saying that he'd never make fun of another man or human being. Braun says Shane is afraid of him and doesn't have the guts to say what he wanted to say to him last week before challenging Shane to a match later tonight. Shane then tells Braun that he couldn't handle him and he knows he's stupid before Shane agrees to the match.
- Backstage Mandy Rose, Dana Brooke, Naomi, and Lana are backstage before R-Truth walks up dressed like Stone Cold Steve Austin before doing all of his signature phrases and mannerisms.
Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose vs Naomi & Lana
Naomi and Dana start the match as Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler join on commentary before Mandy comes in and she and Dana chain together offense and frequent tags. Naomi comes back with a jawbreaker and gets the tag to Lana who hits a side Russian leg sweep and knocks Dana off of the apron before hitting a bulldog out of the corner. Lana hits a running meteora in the ropes into a neckbreaker for a near fall that Dana breaks up and everyone hits a move as Asuka comes out to the ring. Shayna then rushes Asuka and Asuka drops her with a kick before raining down blows and the two are separated by officials before Lana counters a Tiger Driver into a sit-out face buster. The legal competitor Dana then pins Lana with a neckbreaker for the pin and the win.
Winner: Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose defeat Lana and Naomi via pinfall.
- Backstage Riddle walks up to New Day and the trio discuss how they're going to celebrate tonight before New Day come out to the ring for their title match up next as we go to commercial.
RAW Tag Team Championship Match
The Hurt Business (Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander) (c) vs The New Day
Cedric and Xavier start the match the before Kofi comes in and rolls Cedric up with a crucifix for two before Cedric hits a monkey flip into a spine buster by Shelton. Shelton knocks Xavier off of the apron and slams Kofi before Shelton sends Xavier into the steps and Cedric stomps Kofi in his corner. Kofi hits a diving stomp to Cedric before Xavier gets the hot tag and drops Cedric and sends Shelton out of the ring before hitting a delayed dropkick. New Day then clear the ring before THB counter stereo wrecking ball dropkicks and send Kofi into the steps and Xavier into the announce table as we go to commercial.
We come back to Cedric in control of Xavier in the ring as he hits a falcon arrow for two before Xavier drops him and tags in Kofi who is immediately dropper by Shelton for two. Kofi hits a hurricanrana before hitting an S.O.S. for a near fall before Shelton hits a hip toss off of the top for a near fall that Xavier breaks up. Xavier then takes out Cedric at ringside with a tornado DDT off of the apron before Kofi hits Shelton with Trouble in Paradise and Xavier hits a diving elbow into Day Break for the pin and the win.
Winner: New Day defeat The Hurt Business via pinfall to become the new RAW Tag Team champions.
- After the match AJ Styles and Omos come out to the ring and challenge New Day for the RAW Tag Team titles at Wrestlemania. Kofi then mocks AJ and Omos and questions whether they even have a license to be a tag team and whether or not they can work together as a team before Xavier and Kofi accept.
- Backstage Damian and Bad Bunny run into Miz and Morrison before Miz tells Bunny that he wishes he could be as successful as he is before saying that Damian hasn't achieved anything on the main roster. Damian then scares and Morrison off before R-Truth shows up and gives Bad all of the limited edition Stone Cold merchandise before Bunny says that he respects Truth. Bunny then gives Truth the 24/7 title back before Damian and Bad leave and Truth is chased by several Superstars as we go to commercial.
Damian Priest (w/ Bad Bunny) vs Jaxson Ryker (w/ Elias)
Jaxson backs Damian into the corner and hits him with strikes before Damian hits Hit the Lights and pins Jaxson in under a minute.
Winner: Damian Priest defeats Jaxson Ryker via pinfall.
- After the match Elias attacks Damian before he goes to send Bad out of the ring and Bad counters him before Damian takes Elias out. John then comes out and down the ramp before Miz hits Bunny from behind with Elias' guitar and flees as Damian and John have a stare down as we go to commercial.
- Backstage The Hurt Business are interviewed ahead of Bobby facing Sheamus in our main event.
- Before the match between Shane and Braun starts Shane warms up outside of the ring before doing hop scotch and Braun chases him around ringside before Braun catches Shane and sends him into the barricade. Braun runs Shane over and knocks him backwards into the barricade before Shane hits Braun in the face with a camera before laying into him with strikes. Shane drops Braun with the camera and knocks him onto the announce table before going up top and hitting a diving elbow off of the top. Shane then pours green paint all over Braun and screams at him before walking away and Braun slowly gets to his feet before saying that he's going to rip Shane in half as we go to commercial.
- We go to the ring for tonight's edition of Alexa's Playground where Alexa tells Randy Orton that he'll have a chance to take her out this Sunday at Fastlane.
Asuka vs Shayna Baszler (w/ Nia Jax)
Asuka attacks Shayna before the match starts before they get into the ring and Shayna drops Asuka with a knee before they brawl on the mat and Asuka knocks Nia off of the apron when she tries to interfere. Asuka then counters the Kirifuda Clutch into a pin out of nowhere for the win.
Winner: Asuka defeats Shayna Baszler via pinfall.
United States Championship Match
Riddle (c) vs Mustafa Ali (w/ Retribution)
Ali and Riddle exchange strikes until Riddle hits a suplex and sends Ali through the ropes with a running knee before Ali sends him face first into the announce table. Riddle then gets back in at six and gets kicked in the ribs before Ali hits a swinging neckbreaker off of the apron and onto the floor as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to Ali in control of Riddle back in the ring before Riddle comes back with a flurry of strikes and an exploder suplex into a senton and a brain buster for a near fall. Ali then counters the Final Flash into a wheel kick before they exchange pin attempts while the referee is distracted by T-Bar before Riddle hits Ali with the Bro-Derek for the pin and the win.
Winner: Riddle retains his United States Championship by defeating Mustafa Ali via pinfall.
- Backstage Randy Orton is interviewed about Alexa Bliss challenging him to a match at Fastlane where Randy says that he'll be glad to kick Alexa out of his life and it is exactly what he's going to do.
- Drew McIntyre comes out to the ring as we go to commercial.
Sheamus vs Bobby Lashley (w/ MVP)
Sheamus attacks Bobby and backs him into the corner before the referee pulls Sheamus away and Bobby takes Sheamus down before raining down right hands. They run the ropes before Bobby clotheslines Sheamus and chokes him in the ropes before Sheamus chop blocks Bobby as Drew looks on from ringside. Sheamus traps Bobby in the ropes and clubs Bobby before clotheslining him off of the apron and onto the floor before Bobby hits a fall away slam onto the floor right in front of Drew as we go to commercial.
Bobby is in control of Sheamus as we come back from the break, driving into the barricade repeatedly before they get back inside at nine and Bobby elbows Sheamus in the corner. Bobby goes shoulder first into the post and out of the ring before Sheamus hits a diving clothesline once he's back inside for one. Sheamus elbows Bobby in the side of the head before Bobby gets to his feet and Sheamus sends him over the top rope before hitting Bobby with clubbing blows in the ropes. Sheamus hits a backbreaker for one before locking in an inverted sharpshooter before Bobby hits a powerslam for a near fall. Bobby clotheslines Sheamus before they counter each other's finishers until Bobby hits a flat liner for a near fall before setting Sheamus on the top turnbuckle.
Bobby then hits a superplex before Sheamus rocks him with a knee and hits White Noise for a near fall before Bobby spears Sheamus when he goes for the Brogue Kick for the pin and the win.
Winner: Bobby Lashley defeats Sheamus via pinfall.
- After the match Bobby locks in the Hurt Lock on Sheamus before Drew sends Bobby out of the ring with a Claymore as we go off the air as Sheamus and Drew face off.
