WWE Raw Viewership Goes Up In Final Show Before 2020 Royal Rumble

With no more competition from college football or the NFL, Raw's viewership shot up in the go-home show for the Royal Rumble.

According to Showbuzz Daily, the January 20 episode of Raw averaged 2.380 million viewers, up from the 2.030 million viewers the January 13 episode drew. It should be noted that the January 13 episode of Raw competed with the College Football Playoff final between LSU and Clemson, which averaged slightly more than 25 million viewers on ESPN.

In the 18-49 demographic, the first two hours of Raw were No. 1 and No. 2 among original cable telecasts with the third hour coming in at No. 4. The majority of the January 20 episode of Raw had to compete with the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Boston Celtics game on TNT, which averaged 2.015 million viewers and drew a 0.81 rating. Raw this week averaged a 0.83 rating across the three hours.

Hourly Breakdown:

Hour 1: 2.548 million viewers, 0.90 rating in the 18-49 demographic

Hour 2: 2.492 million viewers, 0.87 rating in the 18-49 demographic

Hour 3: 2.101 million viewers, 0.73 rating in the 18-49 demographic
