WWE Shows Footage Of Vince McMahon Jumping Off Platform For WrestleMania 36

The story of Vince McMahon teaching Rob Gronkownski how to fall off a platform is not only true, but now officially documented.

WWE has released footage of McMahon teaching the NFL star how to take the bump that saw him win the 24/7 Title at WrestleMania 36. Fightful had previously reported that a nervous Gronkowski was preparing for his 24/7 Title spot, just a couple of weeks before he'd announce a return to the NFL. In order to show him that the spot was safe, McMahon actually did the dive himself. Footage of the moment can be seen in the video at the page.

At WrestleMania 36, Gronkowski took the bump and won the 24/7 Title, his first title win as a member of WWE. Gronkowski would hold on to the title until he dropped it to R-Truth on the June 1 episode of Raw. Since then, Gronkowski has yet to appear on WWE television since then as he reportedly departed the company months ago.

McMahon will return to SmackDown for the first time since April tonight as he kicks off the August 21 episode of SmackDown, the first WWE show in the ThunderDome era. Fightful will have live coverage of the show.
