WWE SmackDown On 5/5/23 Records Lowest Final Viewership Number Since August 2022

The final numbers are in for the May 5 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reported on Monday, May 8, 2023, that WWE SmackDown on May 5 drew a final viewership total of 2.059 million viewers, the lowest overall final viewership number for WWE Smackdown since the show drew 1.990 million viewers on August 26, 2022. SmackDown recorded a final rating of 0.52, down 17% from last week's final rating.

SpoilerTV reported on May 6 that WWE SmackDown on May 5 averaged 1.976 million viewers in the preliminary numbers. The first hour scored 1.935 million viewers, while the second hour had 2.016 million viewers. This number is down significantly from the April 28 episode, which drew 2.298 million viewers in the preliminary numbers.

Friday's episode drew a 0.47 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, with the first hour coming in at a 0.44 and the second hour decreasing to a 0.5 rating. The preliminary rating for April 28 came in a 0.61 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. That number rose to 0.67 in the final viewership.
