WWE SmackDown On 8/25 Records Highest Viewership Number Since Christmas 2020

Check out the final viewership numbers for the August 25 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reports that WWE SmackDown on August 25 averaged 2.647 million viewers in average viewership. This is up 23% from the previous week's SmackDown, which recorded 2.094 million viewers. Furthermore, this is the highest viewership that an episode of SmackDown has recorded since December 25, 2020.

Furthermore, Friday's show recorded a 0.78 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, which is up big from the previous week's SmackDown, which drew a 0.55 rating.

According to SpoilerTV, WWE SmackDown on August 25 averaged 2.505 million viewers in the preliminary figures. This number is up from the 2.233 million viewers the show averaged in the preliminary numbers on August 18.

NFL Preseason Football preempted Friday's WWE SmackDown in some markets. The final viewership numbers have dropped the last two weeks due to NFL Preseason Football preemptions.

Friday's show scored a 0.71 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, topping the night on cable. The rating is way up from the 0.53 preliminary rating last Friday. The final rating came in at 0.55 on August 18.

WWE SmackDown honored the late Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk, who both passed away earlier in the week.
