WWE taped matches and segments for the July 4 episode of WWE SmackDown on June 30 from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

WWE SmackDown Spoilers For 7/4 (Taped On 6/30)
- Cody Rhodes starts the show with a promo about his WWE King of the Ring victory. Randy Orton, the man he defeated, interrupts him. Randy talks about hesitating to punt Cody Rhodes during their match. He acknowledges Cody used unfair tactics to win and says he's proud of him and respects him for taking the shot. Randy also makes Cody promise that he will beat John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship. A returning Drew McIntyre interrupts the scene. He mocks both men for having a moment of mutual respect. He tries to sow discord, but gets caught with an RKO instead.
- Charlotte Flair is featured in a backstage segment with Nick Aldis. Aldis is trying to convince her to team with Alexa Bliss and make a bid for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. She eventually relents and accepts the offer.
- In another Nick Aldis backstage vignette, it's announced that Drew McIntyre will face Randy Orton at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event. Jacob Fatu then enters. It has been announced that he will team up with Jimmy Uso against two members of Solo Sikoa's crew.
* WWE Evolution Women's Tag Team Title Match Qualifier: Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair def. Secret Hervice (Piper Niven & Alba Fyre) and Michin & B-Fab
- Backstage: Nick Aldis is speaking to the WWE SmackDown tag team division. He says that a member of each tag team will go up against the full Wyatt Sicks.
* The Wyatt Sicks (Uncle Howdy, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, & Dexter Lumis) def. Chris Sabin, Montez Ford, Johnny Gargano, & Berto
- Tiffany Stratton comes out to cut a promo. She addresses her match with Jade Cargill at WWE SummerSlam. Jade interrupts, but Tiffany ultimately reveals that she wants to defend her WWE women's championship against Trish Stratus at WWE Evolution. Trish comes out to accept the challenge.
* Andrade & Rey Fenix def. FrAxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer)
- There's a backstage segment featuring Damian Prest talking to Aleister Black. Priest is trying to help Black understand why R-Truth has been acting so erratically. The situation becomes more tense, and a match is made between Truth and Black for July 10.
* Jacob Fatu & Jimmy Uso def. Solo Sikoa & JC Mateo
- Afterwards, Fatu tries to send Solo through the announce table, but Tala Tonga (Hikuleo) stops him. Tonga Loa also steps in. Solo and his team gain the advantage to wrap up the show with a Triple Powerbomb.
