SmackDown's final show of 2019 saw an increase in viewership.
According to Showbuzz Daily, the December 27 episode of SmackDown averaged 2.438 million viewers, slightly up from the 2.414 million viewers the December 20 episode drew. It's the second straight week an increase in viewership was reflected in the overnight ratings.
In the 18-49 demographic, SmackDown averaged a 0.65 rating across the two hours and it was the highest-rated show in the demographic among all primetime programming between ABC, CBS, CW, FOX and NBC.
Although this is the final episode of SmackDown of the year, it's not the last time FOX airs a match between two SmackDown wrestlers. On the New Year's Eve special hosted by Steve Harvey, Roman Reigns will take on Dolph Ziggler.
Hour 1: 2.540 million viewers, 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic
