WWE Still In The Running For Emmy Nomination

WWE could win the first Emmy in the company's history.

In early June, Stephanie McMahon hosted the WWE's presentation at the Emmy For Your Consideration event. At the time, WWE was focused on getting three of their shows nominated for an Emmy. According to the 2018 Emmy Ballots, WWE has seven shows that are being considered.

The WWE Network special WWE 24: Empowered which followed the female wrestlers before the first Women's Royal Rumble and the HBO documentary about Andre the Giant are both on the ballot for Best Documentary or Nonfiction Special which can be seen in the "Documentary/Nonfiction Program" section on the Emmy website

Mixed Match Challenge and Monday Night Raw are  in the running for Outstanding Structured Reality Program, Total Bellas and Total Divas are among the candidates in the Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program category, and WrestleMania 34 is being considered for the Outstanding Variety Special (Live) award. The above shows and their categories can be seen under the "Programs" section.

Fightful Wrestling will continue to report as WWE's programming makes it way through the process. The Emmy Awards air on September 17th.
