The ThunderDome will have a new home in December.
WWE announced that the ThunderDome will move to Tropicana Field on December 11.
WWE has been running live events at the Amway Center, rebranded the ThunderDome, since August, but with the NBA set to start its season on December 22 and the Orlando Magic needing the facility, WWE needed to find a new home. Their contract with the Amway Center expires on November 24 and WWE must be out by December 5.
EWrestling News first reported that WWE would be moving the ThunderDome to Tropicana Field.
Tropicana Field is the home of MLB's Tampa Bay Rays.

STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- WWE will bring its world-class viewing experience, WWE ThunderDome, to Tropicana Field in Tampa Bay as it begins a new residency starting with SmackDown on Friday, December 11 at 8 PM ET on FOX.
The move to Tampa Bay marks the next iteration for WWE ThunderDome, which launched to critical acclaim in August as part of WWE?s first-ever residency at Amway Center in Orlando. Featuring a state-of-the-art set, video boards, pyrotechnics, lasers, cutting-edge graphics and drone cameras, WWE ThunderDome provides an immersive viewing atmosphere and virtually brings thousands of fans into the arena via live video, in conjunction with The Famous Group and its proprietary technology, for every Monday Night Raw, Friday Night SmackDown and WWE pay-per-view event. Raw, SmackDown and pay-per-view programming will be produced at Tropicana Field on closed sets with only essential personnel in attendance. WWE will continue to administer its health and safety protocols for talent, crew and employees in conjunction with each production, including PCR testing for COVID-19, social distancing and wearing masks.
Raw, SmackDown, and pay-per-view events will continue to be held on a closed set with COVID-19 protocols in place. Florida does allow fans in stadiums should teams or companies please.
It is unknown how long WWE will be able to use the facility. The MLB season isn't set to begin until April 1, 2021, but a spring training game is scheduled for March 30 at Tropicana Field.
