WWE Files To Trademark Former WCW And ECW Event Names

WWE will leave no trademark unturned as the company recently filed to trademark multiple former WCW and ECW event names.

On Dec. 6, the company filed a trademark on the following terms:

- Beach Blast
- Massacre on 34th Street
- Hardcore Heaven

All of the trademarks listed were filed with the following description.

Entertainment services, namely, a show about professional wrestling; entertainment services, namely, the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered live and through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing wrestling news and information through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information.

The trademarks are former event names used by WWE, WCW, and ECW. WWE was reportedly unhappy with AEW promoting a Bash At The Beach special in January. Cody has the trademark on Bash At The Beach, another former WCW event.

WWE also filed to trademark "The Day Of" and "Eat Sleep Conquer Repeat." The former is the name of a WWE behind the scenes series on WWE Network and YouTube. The latter is a popular phrase associated with Brock Lesnar.
