**UPDATE**

WWE posted the following update on Dana Brooke's "injury."

Roxanne Perez: I Can't Retire Until I Have A Match Against AJ Lee

Dana Brooke sustained a hyperextended left elbow and ligament tears at the hands of Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey last night, WWE.com can now confirm.

**ORIGINAL**

Dana Brooke got her first ever WWE title shot on Monday Night Raw, but it didn't go the way she'd hoped.

Ronda Rousey put her WWE Raw Women's Title on the line against Brooke after a confrontation between the two last week. The title match lasted all of 20 seconds, with Dana Brooke tapping out to an armbar. After the match, WWE updated fans on Brooke's condition within story line.

Dana Brooke was injured at the hands of Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey and was taken to a local medical facility for further evaluation.

The injury occurred after Rousey locked in the Armbar and earned a submission victory over Brooke in their Raw Women’s Championship Match. After the bell, Rousey refused to release the hold and applied additional pressure on Brooke’s left arm.

After a physical altercation involving referees and security guards, Rousey left the arena with her husband, fellow MMA fighter Travis Browne.

The injury isn't legitimate and is being used to further the storyline leading into Ronda Rousey's next title defense -- a WrestleMania 35 showdown with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.
