WWE Wrestlers Explain Process Of Traveling With The Money In The Bank Briefcase

A new video spotlights former Money in the Bank Ladder Match winners being reunited with their specific Money in the Bank briefcases and recounting traveling with them as an extra carry-on.

The Money in the Bank briefcase not only signifies the opportunity to cash in for any championship of one's choosing but also doubles as a carry-on for WWE Superstars that are always on the go.

In a new video, WWE is reuniting several past Money in the Bank winners with their specific briefcases and allowing the stars to recount the night that they won the hellacious Money in the Bank Ladder Match, with many recalling traveling with the briefcase.

Some WWE Superstars utilized the briefcase to hold their gear. Sheamus is one such Superstar, saying in the video, "[The briefcase] is heavier than I remember. I remember being a pain in the ass trying to get it out of my bag, I had to buy a special suitcase so it would fit, and I put my gear inside it."

Austin Theory is another Superstar who utilized the briefcase to carry his ring gear. He would go so far as to specify that he would put his sweaty gear inside the briefcase.

"Traveling with the Money in the Bank briefcase is something I will never forget because it does count as a carry-on... I put all my sweaty gear in here and did what I needed to do to get along on those trips," said the current WWE United States Champion.

Other superstars would use the briefcase to carry more personal belongings such as iPads or wallets. Baron Corbin and Seth Rollins fall into this category.

Rollins said, "I put everything in there. Headphones, I put my wallet, my keys, my iPad... It was my baby, yeah. Wherever I went, it went. I never lost it, thankfully, and no one ever tried to take it."

The Miz, however, never used his briefcase to hold anything specific other than the contract that would eventually win him a WWE Championship in 2010.

"I never used utilized it for anything like it was just the contract was in, and I just walk around with it. You're in an airport, and you'd have to explain a million times with the Money in the Bank contract is, which I didn't mind because it's truly an honor to hold this briefcase and this contract. This changed my life and changed my career. I don't know if I didn't win this contract if I would have become the Superstar that I am today," said Miz.

Bayley and Asuka were also interviewed, but neither had the chance to extensively travel with a briefcase as Bayley cashed her opportunity in on the same night to win the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship. Asuka won the briefcase during the pandemic and was immediately gifted the WWE Raw Women's Championship due to Becky Lynch taking maternity leave.

Seven men and six women will fight for their opportunity to become the next Mr. & Ms. Money in the Bank on July 1 in London, England.
