X Division Championship Match Announced For IMPACT Victory Road 2021

The X Division Championship will be defended at IMPACT Wrestling Victory Road.

On September 2, Josh Alexander issued an open challenge to any former X-Division Champion for his X Division Title. The call was answered by Jake Crist. Despite his best efforts, Crist was put away rather quickly by The Walking Weapon after getting hit with the C-4.

After the match, Gia Miller interviewed Alexander and asked why he risked defending his belt against a mystery opponent. He said that he needs to be in the conversation for the greatest X Division Champion ever and what better way to do that than defeat those who came before him.

Chris Sabin then came out and boasted about being an 8-time X Division Champion (compared to Alexander who has only held the belt once) and how if Alexander wants to be the best, he needs to beat the best. He then challenged Alexander to a title match at Victory Road 2021. Josh Alexander didn't waste any time accepting and shook Sabin's hand.

Fighftul will have coverage of Victory Road on September 18, 2021.
