X-Pac Believes NXT Will Beat Raw Or SmackDown "At Least Once" In The Ratings

X-Pac weighs in on the NXT ratings.

On Sept. 18, NXT will officially debut on USA Network. The brand previously aired on USA in 2017 for a one-night special as part of WWE Week. The December 13, 2017 episode drew 841,000 viewers. On the latest episode of his X-Pac 1,2,360 podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Sean Waltman made a bold prediction in regards to the ratings for NXT on USA.

"This is my prediction, that within six months they are going to beat Raw or Smackdown in the ratings at least once. Maybe way sooner than six months…. I really do, I am not just saying that to try and hype up the positive attitude. Just being optimistic, I honestly think that that’s going to happen."

The latest episode of WWE Raw (Aug. 26) averaged 2.527 million viewers. Meanwhile, the latest episode of WWE SmackDown Live (Aug. 27) averaged 2.088 million viewers. NXT will be running head-to-head with All Elite Wrestling beginning on Oct. 2 while SmackDown will move to Fox on Oct. 4.
