Content would slow in the summer and fall of 2021 with Fightful Select reporting "many of the content creators associated with UpUpDownDown has stopped making content for the brand in solidarity with Xavier Woods, as they felt he was getting taken advantage of by a bad deal with UpUpDownDown."

During that time, many UUDD regulars, including the reigning champion, were also released by WWE.

In May, Woods announced the return of UUDD with new content coming from the channel. Now, a new champion will be crowned as well.

In a post on social media, Woods noted that the title had been on the other side of a forbidden door that he had been trying to get through. Fortunately for him, Shayna Baszler was able to get through the door and retrieve the title.

A new champion will be crowned on July 2.

Fightful will update fans on who walks away with the most prestigious championship in all of wrestling on July 2.
