Xelina Recalls Plan For Zoey Serrano To Cost Her WWE Women’s United States Title & Align With Chelsea Green

Chelsea Green has stated that she wanted Zoey Stark in her group.

There’s an extensive interview with the former Zelina Vega, now going by Xelina, on the Ring The Belle YouTube channel.

While discussing her time in WWE, she recalled a pitch for Zoey Serrano, f.k.a. Zoey Stark, to cost her the Women’s United States Title and then align with Chelsea Green.

Xelina remembers seeing a plan that she and Green pitched together be brought up by Brian ‘Road Dogg’ James on WWE: Unreal on Netflix. She stated that James got flak for what he said, but the idea he shared came from her and Green.

“I win the title, but then, the very next show, we have a rematch and at that point, Zoey (Serrano/Stark) was supposed to be joining them. You would win it back, but have Zoey come in, beat the everliving sh*t out of me. Make it disgusting. Make it really bad so that people will feel for me. I will get that kind of sympathy back and then you guys are sitting up there, the big heels, you got your title back, and it’s great. You guys are sitting up there. Now I have something to chase. Give me something to chase. I needed — as a babyface specifically — I needed to have that kind of push from the audience again. She loved the idea and she’s like, ‘Let’s do it,’ like whatever, and so we pitched it together, then they pitched it in the meeting and then that’s how it happened, but, I already went in kind of knowing I was gonna win it and then I was gonna lose it the very next week, or at least that’s what it was supposed to be. Did not happen that way… What’s funny is, on (WWE: Unreal), you see Road Dogg saying, ‘Oh, I think we should switch it back to Chelsea.’ He was trying to pitch what we came up with. He got so much heat for that, but he was just trying to pitch what her and I came together on. It looked completely different and obviously Hunter had different ideas. He wanted to keep it on me and I guess it was maybe because of what the reaction was after I won it, and I said, ‘Allow me to show what this title means to me so that when you do rip it from me, it’s even more disgusting.’ It was supposed to go a different way; it didn’t, and I think because of that, it almost worked against us because then it kind of had her floating around, I didn’t get to defend the title much. It didn’t go the way we wanted to but, ultimately, I’m so glad that I got to have it, and I had the experience that I did with it. But, we wanted to do it a little bit differently.”

Elsewhere in the chat, she discussed the finish to the match she had with Green in April 2025, where Green was counted out, but that was not the planned finish. Xelina confirmed that neither she nor Green heard the referee counting.

“Everybody was confused. Right there, she was like, ‘Oh my God, did that just really f*cking happen?’ I was like, ‘Yeah dude, that just really f*cking happened.’ Yeah, that was a complete accident. Complete accident.” She continued, “To be fair, her and I really didn’t hear the count. I didn’t hear it, she didn’t hear it, and by the time he hit 10, we both were like, ‘What the f*ck? What?’ She was mad because obviously you never want that kind of a mess-up to happen. But, it was supposed to set up what her and I — you know what I mean? So it was working in that direction, and so, I don’t know. I wish that it would have went differently but I felt so bad because I know she felt like sh*t. It was so bad. So, so bad.”

Present day, Green is the current WWE Women’s Champion. She’s been in possession of the belt since August and has had one title defense.
