Xia Li is set to make her SmackDown debut.
Li signed with WWE in 2017 and made her NXT TV debut in February 2019. Her final appearance on the brand came on July 20th when she challenged Raquel Gonzalez for the NXT Championship. She was drafted to SmackDown in the 4th round of the 2021 WWE Draft. She has not wrestled since a dark match ahead of SmackDown on October 15.
Over the past number of weeks, WWE has been running vignettes for Xia Li, telling her story in the form of a comic book in which she is a "defender, destroyer, and protector.
During the December 3 episode of SmackDown, it was announced that Li would be making her SmackDown debut next Friday, December 10.
