Yota Tsuji Restores IWGP Heavyweight Championship
Yota Tsuji has brought back the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.
Tsuji revealed the title at NJPW New Year Dash!!, showing off the championship ahead of his eight-man tag team match.

Tsuji won the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship from Konosuke Takeshita at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20. The IWGP World Heavyweight Title was established when it was officially unified with the IWGP Intercontinental Championship by Kota Ibushi in 2021.
Yota Tsuji is still the IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion.
Tsuji often spoke about wanting to restore the legacy of the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, which was established in 1987, in the lead up to Wrestle Kingdom 20.
