Yuma Anzai Suffers Injury, Referee Stops AJPW Champion Carnival Match

Anzai is out of the tournament.
All Japan Pro Wrestling’s 2026 Champion Carnival tournament continued on May 3rd. There was a Block A match between Yuma Anzai and Kuma Arashi.
Going into the match, Anzai was up for elimination if he lost. Early in the match, Anzai showed that his right knee was giving him trouble.
Anzai attempted to continue fighting, but the referee stopped the match just under two minutes in. Thus, Arashi won, and Anzai is now out of the tournament. Medical staff entered the ring to tend to Anzai.
Anzai appeared for his backstage comments, leaning on his cornerman’s shoulder, and his right ankle was taped up. Anzai suffered the injury during his match on May 2nd.

He is expected to miss AJPW’s show on May 5th.
